Popup Ad Unit
What is a Popup Ad Unit?
A popup ad is a type of ad that appears in a pop-up window, covering the screen in a web or app environment. It usually appears automatically when a user visits the app or website, making it highly visible as it’s the first thing they see.
How to create a popup ad unit
Scroll down on the Ad Product page and click Create Unit on the right side.
In the Create Ad Unit screen, set the following:
Platform and App: Choose the platform and app where the ad will be shown.
Ad Unit Name: Enter a name that helps you identify the placement.
Unit format: Select Popup as the ad format.
Scroll down to choose the ad size.
When you select a size, a sample image will appear on the right to help you visualize the layout.
Currently supported ad sizes:
Bottom 360 x 240 dp
Bottom 360 x 450 dp
Center 360 x 360 dp

You can also define your own size using the Custom options.
Set up Button Options – Advanced Settings
Under Button Options, go to Advanced Settings where you can:
Choose the Button Template Type
Enable or disable the "Don’t show this ad again today" option
Button Template Types:
Optimized for User Convenience: Designed for ease of closing the ad. The "Don’t show again today" and "Close" buttons appear at the bottom of the ad.
Optimized for Ad Performance: Designed to encourage more clicks. The "Don’t show again today" and "Close" buttons appear at the top of the ad.
Tip: When using the performance-optimized layout for bottom popup ads, avoid placing important text in the bottom 34dp to account for iOS safe areas.
In the Optimized for Ad Performance layout, you can choose whether the Close button appears inside or outside the ad content. (Refer to the image example.)
"Hide This Ad Again Today" Setting
ON: When users click this button, they won’t see any more ads for the rest of the day.
OFF: When users click this button, only the current ad will stop showing. Other ads may still appear.
Scroll down to adjust template options.
You can enable the "Tap Outside to Close Ad" feature and adjust the background brightness of the area outside the ad.
Tap Outside to Close Ad
ON: The ad will close when the user taps outside the ad area.
OFF: Tapping outside the ad will do nothing — the user must tap the close button to exit.
Background Brightness for Outside Ad Area This feature allows you adjust the brightness of the area outside the ad.
Ad Control offers three brightness options to choose from.

Example of Using the “Don’t Show This Ad Again Today” Feature
When this feature is ON, the ad won’t be blocked by individual creatives but by the entire campaign.
For example, if the “Hide This Ad Again Today” is ON for a campaign:
The ad won’t be blocked per individual creatives (such as popup ads or banner ads) — this is NOT how it works.
Instead, the ad won’t show again for the entire campaign (the “Don’t Show This Ad Again Today” campaign).
Click the 'Create Ad Unit' button at the bottom right to complete creating the ad unit.
