Creating Property Targeting (Using 1P Data for Targeting)
App developers can sell targeting options to advertisers using their own first-party (1P) data. This guide explains how to create custom targeting options based on 1P data.
Property targeting options use data that doesn’t change often, allowing you to create targeting options without collecting data through events every time. For example, user birthdate, address, and other specific data do not need to be collected through events every time. You can register such data as properties to create targeting options.
When creating targeting options, it's recommended to first plan exactly what options you want to sell to advertisers before creating them.
Creating Custom Targeting
Go to the Audience Targeting menu in the left navigation and click Create Targeting.
On the targeting creation page, you will see auto-complete targeting options and example options you can freely configure.
However, to create new targeting options not listed in the examples, click the + Create Custom Targeting button.
Let's add categories to Offer Targeting Options to Advertisers
Enter a targeting name (markup rate optional).
For example, let's create user targeting options to offer advertisers to target pregnant users and new mothers.
Click the Add Custom Category button. For user targeting, you will create categories such as:
- Pregnant Users
- New Mothers
Enter a name for each detailed targeting option (category), then select a category filter. To use your app developer data, register custom data through Property Editing.
Register data that can confirm pregnancy or childbirth status as a property. (Supported data types: string, int, float, boolean).
Let's create a Boolean-type property to identify pregnancy/childbirth status.
Then, register the added property in the category filter.
Add conditions to the properties you created. For example, set the condition is_pregnant = true for targeting pregnant users, then click Save.
Create a similar category for new mothers following the same steps. The categories will appear as shown in the attached image.

Using Date-Type (Integer) Properties
If you want to target new mothers by postpartum periods (e.g., within 4 weeks, 4-8 weeks), you can set date ranges using integer-type properties.
Follow steps 1-4 from the guide above to create custom targeting.
Enter a clear targeting name visible to advertisers, then click "Add Custom Category."
To select data to add to your category, let’s register a property for the event.
Please click Event Selection > Property > Edit Property.
A drawer will open where you can edit properties. Click Add Property and add a
birth_date
property.Register this as an integer type for date data and click the Edit Property button again.
Once the
birth_date
property is added, click Event Selection again.
You will see the property you just added. Click it to register it to the event.
You will see the property you just added. Click it to register it to the event.
Once the property is registered, you can add conditions.
For the "0–4 weeks postpartum" category, the birth date should be within the last 28 days from today.
Here’s how to set it up:
Click Add Condition.
Choose Date condition.
Enter the rule to compare the birth date with today’s date.
After setting the condition, click Save and checked created category. After checking it, click "Creating Category."
Next, you can create the "4–8 weeks postpartum" category in the same way.
The "4–8 weeks postpartum" option targets users whose birth date is between 28 and 56 days ago from today. To set this condition, let’s add filters step-by-step. First, add the condition that the birth date is at least 28 days ago from the current date.
Click the
+AND
button at the bottom of the filter to add another condition.Add the second condition: birth date is within 56 days ago from today.
After setting both conditions, click Save. This allows you to offer more precise date-based targeting options.
Check your targeting options anytime to see what’s available.
