What’s an Ad Product?

In the AdControl Console, you can group multiple ad units into a single Ad Product and define how it will be sold.

Every ad product must include at least one ad unit.

How to Create an Ad Product

  1. Go to the Ad Products tab in the Ad Console and click Create Ad Product.

  2. Start by selecting the Ad Product Name and Billing Type.

  • Ad Product Name: This is the name advertisers will see.

Minimum Spend Setting for CPM & CPC

  1. Scroll down and select product pricing type.

Minimum Spend Setting for CPM & CPC

CPM and CPC are two pricing models that help you control how you pay for ads based on your marketing goals — whether you want more views or more clicks.

CPM (Cost Per Mille): You pay a set amount every time your ad is shown 1,000 times. Best for: Increasing awareness or visibility of your brand.

CPC (Cost Per Click): You pay only when someone clicks on your ad.

Most effective when you want users to take action, like visiting a page or making a purchase.

If you choose CPM or CPC as your billing type, you can set a minimum spend amount under the Unit Price section. Scroll down to enter the unit price.

3. Performance Information

Scroll down to set the following performance estimates:

  • Estimated Daily Impressions: Enter how many impressions the ad product is expected to generate per day.

  • Expected CTR: Enter the expected click-through rate for the ad product.

4. Additional Information

In the Additional Info section, you can enter a 'Creative Guide' Link to help advertisers prepare their ad materials. (Optional)

  1. Set up the following under Advanced Settings:

  • Frequency Cap: Set the maximum number of times a single user can see this ad per day.

This setting controls how often the ad appears to the same user within a 24-hour period. The campaign will follow the frequency cap defined in the ad product, but you can adjust it later during campaign management if needed.

A higher frequency cap may lead to a lower CTR. (Because Users start to ignore the ad after seeing it repeatedly. More impressions with the same (or fewer) clicks = lower CTR.)

    Targeting Mode : 2types

  • Flexible Targeting: Advertisers can freely choose targeting options.

  • Preset Targeting Required: Advertisers must select from predefined targeting categories when reserving this product. [Learn More]

Running a CPP Product

You can create a new CPP ad product by going to Console > Ad Products and clicking + Create Ad Product.

CPP Rate: The daily cost for displaying the ad.

Minimum Campaign Duration: Set how many days the ad must run from 1(minimum) to 150 days.

Number of Slots: Set how many campaigns can run during the same period.

1 Slot: The ad will run exclusively.

For 2 or More Slots

Banner Carousel or Popup: If more than one campaign runs at the same time, the ads will show one after another in a sliding carousel.

Users may see all ads, either by swiping or through automatic rotation.

Banner Only: Ads will be displayed randomly in equal proportions.

The system selects one ad per user, so not everyone sees the same ad — but over time, all ads get equal exposure.

Discount Rate: Set how much of a discount you'd like to offer advertisers on this product.

How to Operate a CPP Product

Slots: CPP products are time-based. Setting the number of slots allows you to control how many campaigns can run at the same time.

Running a CPM Product

Go to Console > Ad Products > + Create Ad Product to create a new CPM ad product.

  • CPM Rate: The CPM Rate allows you to set the cost per 1,000 impressions.

  • Product Discount Rate: The Product Discount Rate allows you to specify how much discount to offer the advertiser for this ad product.

  • Estimated Daily Impressions: Enter the maximum daily impressions for this product. Once this number is reached, the ad will stop showing.

Example: An advertiser wants to run a 7-day campaign and buys a total of 70,000 impressions.

To evenly distribute the impressions:

  • Total impressions: 70,000

  • Campaign duration: 7 days

  • Daily impression cap = 70,000 ÷ 7 = 10,000 impressions per day

That means the ad will be shown up to 10,000 times per day. Once the ad hits 10,000 impressions for the day, it stops showing until the next day.

Example of CPM Product Operation

(When running multiple campaigns under a single ad product)

  • Estimated Daily Impressions: 1,000,000 (Inventory available to advertisers)

  • CPM Price: 4,000 KRW

The product set by the media company is registered on the ad platform, and advertisers can purchase this product to run their campaigns.

Operating CPC Products

Go to Console > Ad Products > + Create Ad Product to create a new CPC ad product.

  • CPC Rate: Enter the cost per click.

Estimated Daily Impressions: Used to estimate the potential reach of the ad.

Estimated CTR (Click-Through Rate): Please enter the expected performance of the ad.

CTR is calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions. (Clicks ÷ Impressions = CTR)

Based on CTR (Click-Through Rate), you can say:

Operating Global Products
