Reports overview

By default, reports are organized into two tabs. If the publisher makes them visible, the Unit, Product, and Targeting Option tabs also appear. For the Targeting Option tab, see Targeting option performance.

Data update cycle

  • Performance data updates roughly every 10 minutes.
  • Numbers are near real time, but there may be small delays for aggregation and processing.

Performance metrics

Base metrics

Display / video split

Impressions, clicks, and CTR are also reported separately for image (display) and video creatives.

Video engagement metrics

Available when video creatives are running.

Target vs actual

Compare actual delivery against the campaign’s targets.

Analysis methods

Period selection

Choose from a variety of period options.

Segment filters

Filter data by the following segments. The Unit and Targeting Option segments are available only if the publisher makes that performance visible.

Date and hourly breakdown

Break campaign and creative performance down by date or by hour. Useful for spotting patterns by day of week or time of day.
Date and hourly breakdowns are not shown by default. If you need them, contact the publisher hosting your campaign and ask to have the option enabled.

Customize columns

Choose which metrics to show in the table. Hide unnecessary columns and focus on the metrics that matter.

Targeting option performance

See the performance of campaigns with contextual targeting by targeting option. Performance is grouped by the targeting option the ad matched when it was served.
Targeting option performance is not shown by default. If you need it, contact the publisher hosting your campaign and ask to have it made visible.
  • When you view targeting options with campaigns, impressions and clicks that didn’t match a targeting option appear in a (No context match) row. Campaigns without contextual targeting show only this row.
  • Each impression and click is counted toward a single matched targeting option, so adding up the rows doesn’t count the same impression twice.
  • Depending on the publisher’s settings, performance of targeting options in an option group may be combined into a single row for the group.
  • Cost-related columns aren’t provided.
  • Performance by targeting option is counted from impressions served after this feature was introduced.
